Photo 58 - Lake District
Taken on the approach to Low Pike and looking back at Ambleside and Windermere early one December morning. Suddenly as I looked down on the mere, the mist gathered itself up and arched over the lake before dissipating all in the space of ten or twenty seconds. For a moment it looked like the Loch Windermere monster! The tower of mist must have been hundreds of feet high. As a bonus there is a very nice sun rise in the background too.
