This Lake District walk to the summit of a relatively offers some wonderful views. The Beacon is so called beacuse you can see from the Cumbrian Coast in the south and to the Coniston Fells in the north. As a bonus the walk includes a circuit of Beacon Tarn which nestles in the typically rugged Lakeland landscape. Suggested Maps It is recommended you take a map with you when following a walk route. The preferred scale is 1:25000 used by the Explorer series.
