Caption - A popular path follows the edge of the scarp slope of the Simonside Hills, so popular that erosion is a problem. As a defence against further damage at this location as in many other areas, the path has been paved with old mill flags.

Walking in the Northumberland National Park covers a diverse area of landscape between the Tyne and the Scotland England border.
