Grenfells Cottage is a family owned, dog friendly, peaceful escape surrounded by culture and traditions. A short walk takes you to some of the historic tin mines and rugged cliff tops that bring the hit TV show 'Poldark' to life.

A charming tin miner's, terraced cottage with sea views from every room over the surrounding farmland. Built in Victorian times, this traditional granite cottage has recently been renovated to provide a comfortable and surprisingly spacious family holiday home, complete with cosy period interior. The cottage sleeps 5, has free WIFI with private Parking for one small car & road side for another vehicle. Dogs are Welcome. A cot is available for infants. There is a family bathroom with bath and shower. This cottage boasts two outside areas; a newly built, spacious front patio complete with table and chairs, to enjoy a morning breakfast with sea views, or a beautiful place to have an evening BBQ with friends and family, watching the sun set. Week-long bookings are available throughout the year with Seasonal Short Breaks between October and April.

The cottage occupies a central location three miles from St. Just, seven miles from Sennen Cove, and twelve miles from St. Ives. Furthermore, Grenfell’s is a short stroll to the Levant Mine which is perched on the mighty granite cliffs overlooking the Atlantic, housing one of the oldest working beam engines in Cornwall.

Information for Walkers

The North Cornwall coast offers some wonderful walking to suit all abilities. The South West Coast Path National Trail follows the cliff tops in this area and provides an excellent basis for many walks in the area. The glorious scenery is enhanced by the ruins of the old tine mines, Pendeen Lighthouse and, further inland, a number of ancient monuments including Chun Quoit, Chun Castle, the Dancing Stones and the Boslow Stone.
