Meadfoot Guest House offers Hotel quality accommodation in Windermere at
Lake District Bed & Breakfast prices.

A warm welcome and a memorable holiday experience awaits you at our English Lake District Guest House in Windermere, Cumbria, with your hosts Sandra and Tim Shaw. Meadfoot offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a peaceful and quiet setting but within 2 minutes walk of the lively Lake District village of Windermere.

The guest house is located on the edge of Windermere village and is therefore ideally situated for the local shops, pubs, restaurants and other amenities. Although close to this bustling village, Meadfoot is a detached guest house set in its own grounds and has an almost secluded nature. In addition to the private car park there is a large garden with patio and summerhouse for guest use.

Meadfoot Guesthouse

The building was originally constructed in 1968 for a local Vet and comprised a house, a flat and a surgery. In 1983 it was converted to a Lake District Guest House to create a property of unique character and charm.

The Dining room and Lounge area feature French windows opening onto a balcony with spectacular views of the garden. We provide a varied breakfast menu and with notice we will attempt to cater for special requests.

The Guest House is one of only 4 in Windermere and Bowness to be recommended in " The good guide to the Lakes". If you like quiet and peaceful accommodation in a garden setting yet conveniently situated for all amenities, then Meadfoot Guest House is the place for you.

The seven bedrooms (1 family, 1 twin, 3 double, 1 Four Poster and 1 single) are tastefully furnished with mainly traditional pine furniture and all have garden views away from the road. All bedrooms have full en-suite facilities, colour televisions, clock radios, hairdryers, hospitality trays and fully controllable central heating.

Some bedrooms are on the ground floor and some have direct access from the bedroom to the garden. A 4 Poster room is also available. For the comfort and safety of our guests, Meadfoot Guest House is exclusively Non Smoking.
