A walk in the north west of the New Forest
Introduction to Walk 2666

Photo from the walk - A walk in the north west of the New Forest

Nat Park - New Forest

County/Area - Hampshire

Author - Donald Morton

Length - 9.3 miles / 15 km

Ascent - 250 feet / 76 metres

Grade - easy/mod

Although called the New Forest it is by no means all woods. Much of this walk is over high open heathland with extensive views. But for variety there are stretches through Inclosures with a good mixture of trees. Throughout the walk there is the sound of birdsong and it would be rare not to have close views of the New Forest ponies. And for the keen naturalist there is, of course, lots more of interest.
