A circular walk from Nimmings Wood that includes all the highlights of the Clent hills. The route includes the village of Clent and the summits of Clent Hill and Walton Hill which both offer extensive views across the surrounding area. The walk uses generally well waymarked footpaths and passes through areas of woodland, heathland and farmland. The route passes the Four Stones, The Fountain pub, and St Kenelm’s Church and nearby well.

The walk starts form the National Trust’s car park Nimmings Wood (grid ref. SO938807). After parking return to the car park entrance and turn right along the lane and almost immediately turn right through a gate. The clear rising path soon reaches the Four Stones with a viewfinder nearby on the summit of Clent Hill. To continue bear slightly right along the North Worcestershire Path (NWP) to reach a larger viewfinder. From here for slightly right to continue along the NWP which soon enters woodland. Continue ahead over two cross paths and descend to a junction (grid ref. SO926823) where the NWP turns right. Leave the NWP and follow rising path south. The path soon starts to descend and leads down to a lane by the Fountain pub (grid ref. SO924797).

Turn left along the lane and then sharp right at the first junction. Follow the narrow lane down to a T-junction and turn left along Odnall Lane using the narrow pavement. Approaching Clent village, the pavement swaps side of the road by a high wall on the left. Continue to the village centre with the church opposite. Go straight across and pass church on your left. Continue along the lane to turn left through hidden kissing gate by metal gate onto an unsigned footpath opposite 'Clent Hall Lodge'. Walk half-right up the field to a kissing gate (grid ref. SO930791). Cross lane to track opposite. Pass through the house gates and bear right through gap and the left along the edge of a field to a lane.

Cross lane to a stile. The path crosses the field to a stile and continues across two more fields to join a track. Bear left along the track and follow for just under a kilometre to Calcothill Farm. Just before the house, turn left up steps through kissing gate. Walk up the right-hand edge of field to a marker post and walk right through a kissing gate Then turn left through another kissing gate joining the NWP. Follow the rising path through trees and across open ground passing through several gates and crossing a stile to reach a clear track near Waltonhill Farm (grid ref. SO942795). Turn left along the track and then fork right and continue to the top of Walton Hill which is marked with an OS trig column.

Head north off the summit passing past the ring of five benches viewpoint. Veer right on descending track in tree and then curve left following track down to a small parking area and a road. Turn right and after 200 metres turn left through kissing gate and head slightly left down field to exit over a stile onto a road at the bottom left-hand corner (grid ref. SO945805). Bear left along road, turn left at next junction and turn right into St Kenelm's churchyard. Bear left in front of the church and exit churchyard through a wooden kissing gate. Continue across a small enclosure into a field. Exit via a stile and turn left uphill to a lane and Nimmings Wood car park.
