The Pigeon Tower at Rivington
Walk Photo 253201
Caption - The Pigeon Tower at Rivington. Just behind this tower Lord Leverhulme built a large bungalow. It was set on fire by one of the Suffragette's in protest. He built another one on the same site. Cost of the gardens and new bungalow £250,000 in 1925! The gardens are overgrown and the bungalow has gone, but you still see some of the stone flooring.
