The best areas for walking can be identified by selecting the areas with the most routes shown on the map. A variety of trails and hikes are available from short strolls, family walks, hikes in the hills and mountains to river and coastal walks.

Valid search terms for the map are UK city, town or village. Walking Britain's database holds over 36,000 place names.

Finding Walks
