The Campsie Fells lie on the northern flank of Clyde Valley near to Lennoxtown. The route takes you over Crichton's Cairn and Lairs to Cort-ma Law. The walk continues around the head of a valley to Lecket Hill (547 m.) the highest point on the circuit. A steady descend leads you down to Crow Road which leads back to the start. Views include the Clyde Valley, Glasgow, and pyramid shaped Meikle Bin. As a bonus you can also visit the Kirk Burn waterfalls which are a dramatic sight when in spate.

The start is the Crow Road car park (grid ref. NS613801) on the B822 about three kilometres northwest of Lennoxtown. After parking cross the road and join the rising path opposite. Most of the ascent is at the start of the route which leads you to Crichton's Cairn (grid ref. NS626799). From here the path undulates with no significant sections of uphill walking. As you gain height views across the Clyde Valley on your right improve and include the City of Glasgow. If you approached the start from Lennoxtown you will have passed the impressive crags on the south side of this ridge.

Continue heading east on the main path which does occasionally split. If in doubt take the higher path. You hardly notice crossing Lairs before arriving at a cairn (grid ref. NS649795) after which the views south start to diminish. From the cairn, turn north-northwest and continue to the summit of Cort-ma Law (531 m.) with its OS trig column. The view now includes the Birkenburn Reservoir down on your right.

From Cort-ma Law head northwest across a broad area of sometimes wet ground to Lecket Hill crossing a fence along the way. Over to your right is the pyramid shaped hill of Meikle Bin which is north worthwhile ascent in this area. After reaching Lecket Hill, the highest point on the walk, head west. After a kilometre of gentle descent, the path steepens and drops down to Crow Road. Turn left and descend back to the start taking care of traffic. If time permits a short diversion from the path at the rear of the car park leads down to Kirk Burn waterfalls of Campsie Waterfall on Google Maps.
