Summit of Great Hetha, Hethpool, Northumberland

Caption - Whilst the summit of Great Hetha is a mere 343 metres (1,125 feet) above sea level, it enjoys enviable views in all directions, including this one to the north east of Yeavering Bell and Easter Tor. The summit area is home to the fine remains of an Iron Age defended settlement (hillfort).

Walking in the Northumberland National Park covers a diverse area of landscape between the Tyne and the Scotland England border. The highest point within the National Park is the Cheviot and besides this famous hill there are many other notable summits.
