Caption - Marloes Sands, Pembrokeshire. In a county of superb beaches, the sands at Marloes must rank amongst the best. The rock outcrops are fascinating with rocks appearing to lean out of the vertical towards the north, thus showing the angle of the Silurian strata. Looking west along the beach towards Gateholm Island which is of Old Red Sandstone.
